   जहां तक राजाओं की पत्नियों का संबंध है वे तो सती हो जाने की ही अभ्यस्त हैं चाहे वे ऐसा चाहती हों या नहीं , क़्योंकि ऐसा करने के पीछे उनकी यही इच्छा रहती है कि उनमें से एक भी संयोग से कोई ऐसा आचरण न कर बैठे जो उसके यशस्वी पति की प्रतिष्ठा के प्रतिकूल हो .
